I would love to see the total cost of this system including the RAID in comparison to a G5 XServe cluster with XServe RAID. I am willing to hang out on a limb and right off the bat say that the Apple solution would have come in SIGNIFICANTLY less for the same performance and storage capacity. Hell, I bet you anything that the G5 would have BEAT the IBM in every aspect. The golden question is: Did the NAVY even consider the Apple solution? But all is good, IBM has to win something here and there. They DO make the G5 processor so they can't be all that bad. Congrats IBM! Now go back and perfect the 90nm chip for the next gen G5 damnit!!!! I should have been ordering a Dual 3GHz G5 instead of a Dual 2.5 last night!!! BAH!
