Hurricane Wilma beats our ass...
This pic is what's left of my back yard. The complete set of pics can be found on my FlickR site. We were hit pretty hard by Wilma. We currently have no power, no phone, no cell service and limited water. Overall, we fared well compared to many others in my area. FPL is telling us it could be up to 4 weeks before power is fully restored. Luckily my brother-in-law and mother have had their power restored in their respective areas. Looks like we'll be hoppin back and forth between home and the family. Gonna be a rough month, but I can't complain. Other folks have been hit much harder. Gotta love living in Florida. Anyone need an Apple Systems Engineer in a state WITHOUT recurring natrural disasters? :-)

Sorry you got hit so hard. There may be jobs at the Apple Factory and Call center here in Cork.
But you would have to give up Sunshine, hot weather, big sandy beachs.
We do have palm trees though.

Thanks Branedy! Luckily we are ok and the house didn't suffer any structural damage. I don't have any right to complain when compared to some others. I wouldn't mind giving up the sunshine (too humid), hot weather (prefer cooler wx) and the sandy beaches (my fat ass doesn't go there much). :-) Hopefully we can survive here a little longer. Take care and thanks for the comments!

Frank,
Mate that sux. As long as everyone is safe and healthy is all that matters.
And here I was moaning about my storm from the other night when it's nothing by comparison.
PS: Typo

Hey Rob!
Thanks for the message. Things definitely suck here, but getting better by the minute. I guess we get so accustomed to living in our digital worlds that when we have to go without our normal everyday gadgets and amenities, we really get bent out of shape. Nothing to be ashamed about, we are human. All is well and we are safe here. Hope the snow doesn't create too many problems up there! From one extreme to the other I tell ya! Take care...
